WottleDo Code of Conduct
The mission of WottleDo is to encourage ethical and effective networking and referral behaviour. All WottleDo subscribers agree to comply with the WottleDo Code of Conduct
- Subscribers must act with integrity at all times
- Subscribers must follow generally accepted good practice guidelines in relation to their business development and networking activities
- Subscribers must not abuse the facilities to send notification and WottleReward invite messages to uploaded contacts. It is the subscriber's responsibility to comply with any data protection, anti-spamming or other laws which may be applicable
- Subscribers must not become WottleContacts with other Wottlers until there is a good relationship already established
- Do not abuse a Watcher's generosity by sending too many Watching Briefs
- Only Watch a Wottler if you are seriously interested in keeping up with them
- With regard to WottleRewards, subscribers are urged to adhere to these guidelines:
- Only make a referral where you have a sufficient level of confidence and trust in the Offeror.
- Be open and 'transparent' about the existence of WottleRewards. Notify any referred contact that a WottleReward might be made in relation to the referral. This is a requirement of many governing bodies which regulate the activities of professional service organisations
- Do not pass on the cost of a WottleReward by charging your customer more
- Your reputation depends on a good referral, and a good referral depends on your good reputation. Do not let a WottleReward damage your integrity
- Do not feel guilty about receiving a WottleReward if that is what a Wottler wants to do!
